We had a fantastic experience working with Rebecca at Algarve House Hunter. We live in Washington D.C and she made shopping from afar easy. Rebecca asked us questions to learn more about us, our wants, needs, budget, and must haves. She sent us listings and looked at the listings we sent her too. She walked several homes before we arrived and continued to dig hard to find us the perfect home. She was in constant communication with us before we arrived by via call, text, and utilizing a live excel spread sheet. We had limited time in Portugal in the Algarve region to find a home before we returned to D.C. Rebecca was patient, professional, and kind. We felt like we made a life long friend and knew we had a trusted advisor in Rebecca. We looked at possibly 10 homes over 4 days. She took us to a home she just knew we needed to see. We fell in love with it but it needed some cosmetic work. In the limited time we had she was able to schedule us to meet with 2 different contractors to get their opinions. She took care of every aspect of the home buying process. She took us to the bank to open an account, made an appointment with a lawyer, and mortgage broker for us before we arrived. She set up all the appointments for us to see the homes. She didn’t give us her opinion unless we asked for it. She allowed us to make a decision. I recommend Rebecca with Algarve House Hunter 100%. She made home buying easy. I absolutely love her. Our experience was so good we are trying to do more business with her soon. I can’t wait to make the Algarve region my new home. “We had been looking for a property for two years around the Tavira area and then finally it was Rebecca that found us our 'forever home'. We were registered with every single agent in the town and further afield. Plus we had even rented for 3 months in an attempt to find our new home, but to no avail. By the time we met Rebecca we were pretty disheartened. Most estate agents either send you any new house they get (even though it is 100% the opposite of your search criteria) or they forget you the minute you walk out the door or the viewing! Rebecca spent the time to truly understand what we wanted and what we were willing to compromise on, or not. And as we knew every single property that was up for sale within a 15 minute drive, Rebecca spent her time ferreting out new ones that had not been advertised or even listed. The property we brought was never advertised on Idealista, Casa Sapo, Rightmove etc. Not only did she find us a property that was beyond our expectations, Rebecca was also invaluable throughout the negotiation process. We started €110,000 lower then the asking price and eventually settled on €60,000 less. In the current crazy property market that was some feat. Rebecca exhibited a brilliant understanding of the Portuguese culture and mentality to make this happen.

We started our search about eight months ago, through the internet. We sent an inquiry, Rebecca responded acting as a buyer’s agent to Algarve house hunters. We explained that we were living outside of Portugal and would be traveling back and forth. Rebecca was willing to work with us and after a few conversations we were confident that she would be able to find the right place for us. She worked tirelessly, at times also working with other agencies in order to expand our viewing inventory. She was diligent in helping us narrow down exactly what we wanted even though at times we were not sure what type of housing we wanted. She also gave us great advice on restaurants for us to try. All our phone calls were answered even on the weekends. All of her hard work prevailed, and we found our home. She is extremely devoted and her willingness to help made our transition to Portugal an easy one. We not only found a real estate agent we also found a friend. We would highly recommend Rebecca to anyone moving to the Algarve area of Portugal.

“If you are looking for a property Rebecca is the best. She does all of the leg work for you and trawls all the real estate sites for you looking for properties that fit the brief. In addition, if you see a property yourself and advise Rebecca she will find out all the details, such as how long it has been on the market, previous bids etc, all very useful information if you are thinking of making a bid. Using Rebecca made our property search so much easier and allowed us to only view ones that fitted the brief. In addition Rebecca really does get a good understanding on what you are looking for and will recommend ones that she feels will suit. In fact the property we did end up buying would have been discounted by us had she not persuaded us to view it. All in all, if you want to save a lot of time and a lot of shoe leather then I would totally recommend using Rebecca's services.”

If you are looking to buy a property in the Tavira and Eastern Algarve region then you should look no further than Rebecca Charles - I will tell you why. I initially went to the internet search engines; I spent hours listing properties, trying to find their locations and what those locations offered. Obviously we found it rather difficult trying to choose from 1500 miles away. A number of estate agents offered appointments on one or two properties but did not try to establish what we really wanted. To be quite honest - we did not really know ourselves! We were so lucky that when I contacted Algarve Property Hunters, Rebecca took my call………..and the rest is history! I booked our flight to Faro and spent a few days in Tavira viewing many properties with Rebecca . With her knowledge and expertise we narrowed the field to a short list. The list was then shortened to one. We have now purchased our perfect home. THANK YOU REBECCA !

Rebecca is a super lady to work with. She listened carefully to our requirements and worked tirelessly to try to find our perfect property. In fact she managed to find us two! In addition to property hunting for us, she showed me where to buy Yorkshire tea and custard cream biscuits (two guilty pleasures that I hadn't realised I couldn't live without!). She understands the Portuguese culture and has helped us to settle in to our new homeland without upsetting too many people. She has been a house hunter, advisor and is now warmly viewed as "one of the family". She also introduced us to Ana, our wonderful solicitor, to whom we are also grateful. Thank you Rebecca. My husband Rob and I are moving from the UK to Portugal at the end of 2023. Rebecca Charles is a Buyer’s Agent who was recommended to us by a friend who had purchased a property in the Eastern Algarve. After months of being ignored by Estate Agents in Portugal and with an impending visit to Portugal and no houses to view, I reached out to Rebecca. Our first conversation put me at ease and I knew in my heart that she was “our person”. Rebecca listened to what we wanted in our future home and provided a spreadsheet of properties that fitted our criteria. Not only did Rebecca communicate with agents who had previously not returned my calls or answered my emails but also agents who usually won’t deal with other agents. We even got to view some properties that weren’t listed online. Rebecca arranged and escorted us on all the viewings and went above and beyond what we expected by accompanying us to the Financas for our NIFs, arranging an appointment with Millennium Bank so we could open an account and somehow arranging an appointment with a Lawyer minutes before we were due to leave Portugal. Rebecca is very knowledgeable, professional and hard working, speaks excellent Portuguese and was liked and respected by everyone we came into contact with. Rebecca was our one point of contact throughout and made what potentially could have been a very stressful time, really quite pleasant. I’m working with Rebecca Charles to find the perfect home for my impending retirement. I have some very specific requirements that make the search a challenge, but Rebecca has taken the time to understand what I’m looking for and to show me options all around the eastern Algarve. I’m on my second visit now and we’ve seen a real possibility, but Rebecca is happy to keep looking for more options. I’m sure we’ll get there soon. I couldn’t have done this alone so I’m full of praise for Rebecca even before finding the right place.

I can’t recommend Rebecca enough. We tried to contact estate agents direct, Remax, ERA etc… but they didn’t deliver, then we found Rebecca. She helped with our searches, booking viewings, providing background of the properties and also finding properties that we hadn’t been able to discover ourselves. Communication was superb with regular telephone and email updates. We have found our perfect home now in Castro Marim, thanks Rebecca, beijos (kisses) x
